Lander, WY – Wyoming Catholic College (WCC) chaplain Fr. Ward, originally of Michigan, is set to take over publication of The Word Among Us, “a monthly Catholic devotional magazine based on the daily readings” as multiple Lander sources confirm. Ward plans to remain as chaplain at WCC as he takes over the publication but has announced “major content shakeups” as a leaked cover concept reached us here at IIT.
Students will continue to receive a free subscription monthly in their mailboxes, but all will have the added benefit of reflections in them that connect to Fr. Ward’s homilies, more accounts of saints, and a more boldly Catholic style and focus.
Some corporate offices for the publication will remain in Frederick, MD but WCC administration hope with Fr. Ward’s taking leadership of the publication on the side that “some of the actual printing can be transferred to Lander” where a new “WAU Publishing Assistant” work-study position can be opened up next fall for students to assist Fr. Ward.
The magazine will also be renamed to The Ward Among Us, as a second school official close to Fr. Ward told IIT.
